is there a simple to use tutorial on how to make maps for bf2? cause i want to explore every aspect of mod building before i diside if i like to do something

someone did ask where do i begin mapping? on the TBF2 forums once, and they got a good reply on the process of it, i cant find the thread at min but i know its there

get the bf2 editor and then download the tuts for it (I forget where from)

I wanna learn how to map. I KNOW I can't model or texture, but I want to at least learn how to map because that I'll actually get. Can you teach me?

thats the thing mapping looks easy but it isnt! there is so much to do! once you have created the terrain and applied textures then you have to arrange static meshes get layout right compile lightmaps get undergrowth overgrowth correct, if you have water you have to get a good balance with surrounds, its tougher than u think, i have tried! lol

Yeah I tried it too, and then after I saw how much work it was and how long it takes to make even just a decent small map, I decided to skin instead.

Well I mean ya what aquila said Is hard but I can teach you the basics like player spawns, terration, flags, veical spawns. That stuff.

im have started on the tut, but havent come to the map building part yet, wanted to try and get some models i made in it, but it seems i need a divernt modeling program

shame they havnt got a tool that automatically does the hieracical side of things like collision meshes etc... shame... takes ages with the previous methods
